This Beckman with unique flatbox, referring to toe shape, has been a classic in Japan for years. Inspired by their founder and the idea that a boot should easily transition from the muddy streets of his first shop to an important business meeting. The Beckman is Red Wing's most premium boot in the nail-seat collection. Full-grain Klondike leather is pulled over last no. 210 for an archive-inspired fit. The full leather insole takes time to break in and full leather outsole with Gro-Cord forefoot and heel offers traction across terrains. In his honor, the Beckman truly rises to the occasion.

ABOUT CHARLES BECKMAN

In 1857, Charles Beckman, a German immigrant, exited the train to Red Wing, MN to begin his job at a local tannery. Beckman took his learned trade and American dream to open his first shoe store off the banks of the Mississippi River in 1883. He quickly learned those who came to his shop were looking for a high-quality product that could withstand the rigor of their worksites, a product that was not easily available. In 1905, with the support of fourteen investors, he started the company that has grown into what we know it as today: Red Wing Shoes.

ABOUT LAST 210

Red Wing's footwear is built using last construction for superior fit. A last is a foot-shaped piece of plastic that the leather upper is pulled over before the boot or shoe is welted or stitched down into its final form. Last no. 210 was created in the 1950s designed for increased flexibility and lighter work. The flat toebox showcases a slimmer silhouette for classic styles. Gro-Cord forefoot and heel offers traction across terrains. In his honor, the Beckman truly rises to the occasion.
